Actually, one may be wondering who are the Ohaneze Ndi Igbo. To be able to read and understand the present and the future, it beholves on us to carefully study the past. All ove the world where Africans are found, there have often been one form of human organisation or the other representing diverse intrests affecting us a people. These interests could be political, social, economical, cultural,religious, psychological, proffessional etc.

Africa is a continent endowed with huge natural resources, cultural talents coupled with huge human potentials. It is based on the fact that, the practise of ones culture significantly fosters unity,peace,progress and at the same time ,cultural exchenge increases understanding tolerance and promotes harmony among different people, it is on this premise that we came together as a group.

As Igbos in Diaspora,it is apparent that we should also think of our immediate society where we live. There is every need that we facilitate freindship and co-operation among all ethnic groups in our enviroment and most especially our host community Austria. We have to do our best to contribute positively in Austria thereby enabling us to integrate and appreciate Austria's rich cultural and natural endowments.

Our present world system is at it's worst, when we consider issues like, terrorism, neuclear proliferation, religious fanaticism, despots and tyrrants etc. we should as a matter of urgency help in entrenching peace wherever we live.
